This project started in early 1999. It was a vision I had about doing something on a guitar fingerboard that nobody else was doing. If you have any interest in ordering a Last Supper guitar you will want to get your hands on this ultimate collector guitar. With nearly three hundred inlaid pieces, you just have to see it to believe it.
The Last Supper guitar is unique from most inlays because of the actual theme. It is immediately recognizable and very eyecatching. The Last Supper inlay consists of nearly 300 hand inlaid pieces. This inlay, as all Pederson Custom (formerly Abyss) inlays, is done purely by hand by Kevin L. Pederson. I can actually personalize the rest of the theme for you. For instance, the Last Supper No. 2 has things like knives, forks, cups, loaf of bread and fish added to the table. All thirteen men are cut from various woods including maple, Koa, ebony and rosewood. The white hair is mother of pearl and the dark or black hair is ebony, rosewood or Koa. Last Supper No. 3 features the washing of hands and feet. Another thing the customer asked me to do was to have Christ holding the Sacraments (the bread and the cup of wine): "This is My Body given for you, this is My Blood, shed for you.”
The ebony tuner buttons add the elegant touch to the headstock. The electric covers will match the wood species. These guitars use master figured backs also. Master grade woods front to back and top to bottom.
The pickups are wired with one master volume control knob and one master tone knob and the three way pickup selector switch. Optional on this guitar is the piezo Schaller bridge and the full piezo electronics system and L.R. Baggs Control X technology. This technology has a blend pot, which you can use to pan back and forth between the magnetic pickups and the piezo pickups. The sounds are true acoustic tones and are very versatile, especially since you can blend the piezo with the electric pickups.
Spend a little time with this wiring set up and you will be surprised at how many different tones and sounds you will be able to create mixing the pickups and the piezo on this ONE guitar. This is a unbelievable musical instrument that doubles as a collector guitar.
